How to use this checklist

Open the published production version and test it as an ordinary user. The checkboxes below are stored in this browser, so you can leave and continue later.

Content and navigation

No broken or temporary menu links.Phone, email, address, prices and legal details are current.No lorem ipsum, TODO text or test images remain.Unknown URLs have a useful 404 behaviour.Logo and CTAs lead where users expect.

Mobile version

No horizontal scroll on a narrow screen.Menu opens and closes without covering critical content.Buttons and fields are comfortable for touch.Important actions do not depend on hover.Long real text does not break cards.

Forms and user journeys

Valid data submits successfully.Errors are explained in human language.Double-clicking does not create duplicate orders.Expected email/notification really arrives.Registration, login, logout and password reset work if accounts exist.

Files and data

Allowed files upload successfully and oversized files fail clearly.A user cannot open another user’s private file by guessing a URL.Administrators see only the data required for their role.

SEO foundation

Key pages have unique title and description.Each page has one clear main H1.robots.txt does not block production by mistake.Sitemap contains real public pages.Meaningful images have useful alt text.

Security and ownership

HTTPS works and HTTP redirects.Production secrets are not in a public repository.Privileged actions verify authorisation server-side.The owner has access to domain, DNS, hosting, database and repository.Critical data has a backup.

Final production pass

Test on the real domain, not localhost.Check the browsers your audience actually uses.Repeat critical journeys in a private window / clean cache.Review logs after deployment.

Immediately after launch

Connect analytics and Search Console, send a real enquiry from a real device and watch server errors in the first days. Launch is when real users finally begin exercising scenarios the team may not have predicted.

Performance and visual stability

Hero images are not served as multi-megabyte originals.Images and fonts do not cause large layout jumps.Primary actions remain responsive while the page loads.

Analytics and real events

If ads or SEO will be evaluated, verify analytics before campaigns start. A page view is not the only meaningful event — successful form submission, registration, checkout start or contact click may matter more.

Who owns the site after Deploy

Agree who receives outage alerts, renews the domain, updates content and handles a broken form. A small project may have one person doing all of this; what matters is that responsibility is explicit.
